Merry Beth graduated from the Veterinary Technician program at Seneca College in 1996, and has worked as an RVT in Ontario, British Columbia, Manitoba and New Brunswick. During her RVT career she has experienced a variety of veterinary settings, including small animal, mixed small & large animal, and equine-only practices. She also enjoyed teaching as part of a Veterinary Assistant Program’s team, and being a member of a Veterinary Technician Program Accreditation Committee. While living in New Brunswick, Merry Beth was on the EVTA Executive Committee for a number of years as the Newsletter Editor, and ran a boarding kennel at her country property south of Moncton. Throughout the years she has also volunteered at several different provincial Conferences and enjoys representing RVT’s at various tradeshows and events throughout Ontario.
When she is not working, Merry Beth enjoys spending time with her horses, doing yoga, walking in the woods, paddle boarding, gardening, cooking for her family, and reading. During every one of those activities (except paddle boarding), her dog Bailey is usually right beside her 🙂
Merry Beth and her husband have 4 children and live in the country on a farm near New Hamburg with Star (horse), Bailey and Pepper (dogs), Cindy, Billy, Princess and Joey (barn cats) and JJ (housecat) and 26 chickens.
